Friday Night Is Music Night has been running since 1952, first on the BBC Light Programme and now on its successor, BBC Radio 2, making it the world’s longest-running live orchestral music radio programme.
Gilbert will be performing a selection of his best-loved songs at London’s Mermaid Theatre accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Laurie Holloway. The evening will be presented by Ken Bruce, and will be broadcast on Radio 2 the following Friday, 19th February.
Tickets for this very special evening will be FREE, and for your chance to be there, you must head to www.bbc.co.uk between Monday 18th January and Sunday 24th January and sign up for the ticket draw. You will then be notified if you are successful.
